Experience an unforgettable evening where ballet's most iconic masterpiece meets the boundless spirit of contemporary creation. Madison Ballet's winter mixed repertory program brings together the company premiere of Acts II & IV of Swan Lake with the return of Arcadia, a breathtaking contemporary ballet by Artistic Director Ja' Malik.

Set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's immortal score, Swan Lake captures the romance, mystery, and emotional power that have defined classical ballet for generations. Featuring the celebrated "White Acts," audiences will witness the haunting beauty of the swan maidens, the heartbreaking love story of Odette and Prince Siegfried, and the ballet's unforgettable conclusion.

Complementing this beloved classic is Arcadia, an evocative contemporary work choreographed by Ja' Malik to the lush, cinematic music of Oliver Davis. Blending sweeping movement with rich emotion and striking visual imagery, Arcadia invites audiences into a dreamlike landscape where nature, memory, and the human spirit intertwine.

Both ballets will be performed with live music by the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, bringing extraordinary depth and energy to this remarkable evening of dance. Together, these two works celebrate ballet's enduring traditions while embracing its vibrant future.
