WCO: Masterworks III - Rossini to Rococo

Madison Ballet joins the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra for an extraordinary evening of music and dance with the world premiere of Rococo Variations, a new ballet by Artistic Director Ja' Malik.

Created especially for the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's Masterworks: Rossini to Rococo concert, Rococo Variations is inspired by the elegance, virtuosity, and expressive beauty of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's beloved Variations on a Rococo Theme. Featuring internationally acclaimed cellist Amit Peled performing as soloist, the ballet celebrates the intimate conversation between music and movement through sweeping choreography and exquisite artistry.

Blending classical technique with contemporary expression, Ja' Malik's newest creation explores themes of refinement, transformation, and the enduring pursuit of beauty.
