Leandro Monteiro

Paracatu, Brazil

Born and raised in Brazil, Leandro began his dance journey at Ballet Corpus, a dance school in the countryside of Minas Gerais, where he graduated in early 2024. During his training, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City.

In 2024, Leandro received a scholarship to join the Choreographic Ensemble Professional Training Program at Sanctuary of the Arts in Miami, where he spent two years of intensive learning and artistic development.

Throughout his training in the program, he had the opportunity to perform important classical ballet repertoire, including Raymonda, Coppélia, Satanella, Esmeralda, and Le Corsaire, as well as participate in works and creations by renowned guest choreographers, including Alice Arja, Nathalia Arja, Maria Teresa del Real, Stephano Candreva, Rafi Maldonado, Gabriel Lorena and Ariel Rose.

These experiences have contributed to expanding his artistic versatility, technical abilities, and stage presence, strengthening his development as a young dancer and preparing him for the next steps in his professional career. I am exciting to begin my professional career with Madison Ballet.
