KYRA OLSON

Wolcott, CT

Originally from Wolcott, Connecticut, Kyra Olson began her dance training at Studio One and Triple Threat Dance Company before focusing on classical ballet. She continued her training at the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, graduating from their two year post graduate program. At Nutmeg she studied under the esteemed instructors Victoria Mazzarelli and Eleanor D’Antuono, to name a few. Kyra then joined the Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company, performing principal roles in The Nutcracker, Raymonda, Giselle, and original works by Venetia Stifler and Victor Alexander. With Ruth Page, she has performed internationally in Spain, Columbia, Mexico, Chile and Italy.

In addition, she has also performed at the Ballet Summer Workshop Gala in Estonia for several years, featured in works by Viki Bromberg Psihoyos, Konstantin Keykhel, Triinu Upkin, Cristiano Principato, Karina Laura Leskin, and Florian Lochner. While in Estonia, she also worked with renowned artists including Sergei Upkin, Agnes Oaks, Guido Sarno and Meelis Pakri. From 2020 to 2024, Kyra was a company artist with Minnesota Ballet, performing principal roles in both classical and contemporary works choreographed by Artistic Director Karl von Rabenau, including, The Nutcracker, Poe, and Sleepy Hollow. Her repertoire also includes being featured in works by Jennifer Miller, Petr Zahradnicek, and Isaac Sharatt. After a season of freelancing in Chicago, Kyra is thrilled to join Madison Ballet for the 2025–2026 season.
