Emily Vlasnik

Pittsburgh, PA

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Emily Vlasnik started her classical ballet training at Pittsburgh Ballet House under the direction of Kwang-Suk Choi and Sae-Young Kang. As a student, she attended summer intensives including Houston Ballet, Ballet West, and Philadelphia Ballet, among others. She then continued her training at Indiana University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Ballet and Kinesiology from the Jacobs School of Music. 

At Indiana, she studied under Sarah Wroth, Sasha Janes, Kyra Nichols, Michael Vernon, and Christian Claessens. During her time there, Emily had the privilege of performing Dwight Rhoden’s Ballad Unto, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Shibuya Blues, George Balanchine’s Serenade, and Jessica Lang’s Her Door to the Sky. She has also worked with renowned choreographers, premiering original works by Ken Ossola, Durante Verzola, and Gianna Reisen.

Emily is thrilled to be joining Madison Ballet for her professional debut this season!
