Antony Zambrano Reyes

El Salvador

Born in El Salvador, where he lived until he was thirteen. He then moved to Maryland, seeking new and varied educational opportunities. His introduction to dance started at his public high school, where he experimented with many styles and dance genres. In 2021, Antony began his formal ballet training with Misha Tchoupakov at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). He attended UNCSA on a full scholarship, and in spring 2025 he graduated with a BFA in Dance. It is through his studies there that Antony found his passion for classical ballet. While at UNCSA, he has performed in productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Ilya Kozadayev's "Echoes", Gina Paterson’s "Seven Deadly Sins", Tom Gold’s "The Next Stop Is", "Joplin Dances" by Robert Garland, and John Taras' "Firebird". Antony has also performed in two films for dance, UNCSA’s The Nutcracker, shown on PBS in 2022, and Today's Voices in Dance, shown on PBS in 2023. He is excited to join Madison Ballet this season!
