Amor Williams
Memphis, TN
A Memphis native, began her dance training at Collage Dance Collective, studying under Kevin Thomas for 13 years. During her time there, she worked with noted choreographers such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, MenCa, and Amy Hall Garner, experiences that helped shape her as a developing artist. She went on to attend summer intensives at the University of Utah, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. After graduating high school in May 2023, Amor joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Graduate Program under the direction of Marjorie Grundvig. While at PBT, Amor performed in both school and company productions, dancing in Balanchine’s “Serenade”, Christensen’s “Beauty and the Beast”, and Fokine’s “Les Sylphides.” She was fortunate to work with stagers and choreographers including Marianna Tcherkassky, Houston Thomas, Terrence S. Orr, and Zippora Karz, each contributing to her artistic and technical growth.
Amor is deeply grateful for the training and mentorship that have shaped her journey so far. She is excited to make her professional debut with Madison Ballet this season and looks forward to continuing to grow as both a dancer and an artist.
