Garrett Mosblech

Frankfort, MI

Born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Garrett began his dance training at an early age with a local theater company, Kids Who Care, and continued training at Margo Dean School of Ballet under the direction of Elise Lavallee.  At the age of 13, he was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where he trained under Joseph Morrissey. Some of his favorite performances were  in Paul Taylor’s “ Company B” , Agnes DeMille’s “Rodeo”, staged by Paul Sutherland, and in the role of “Snow King”  in The Nutcracker. During this time he also attended summer intensives with American Ballet Theater in New York and California, Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet Austin. 

Upon graduation from IAA, Garrett was accepted into the dance program at the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, New York. While there he  trained with the esteemed Betti Jane Sills, Ted Kivett, Rosana Seravalli, Stephanie Tooman, and Joseph Marborough. While pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Conservatory, Garrett was pleased to perform  some of his favorite works: “Serenade” by George Balanchine and “Adsum” by Christopher Rudd. He considers himself fortunate to have had the opportunity to be part of the original cast of “RE/COMPOSED” by Ja’Malik. Garrett is looking forward to his first season with Madison Ballet!
