SMB Summer Intensives

Ages 10 - 18

Madison Ballet's Summer Intensives offer a comprehensive program focused on increasing technical abilities for each student. The intensives are built for serious minded dancers interested in experiencing life as a professional, whether they want to pursue a career in dance or build upon their professional skills.

SMB is offering two intensives this summer. Dancers aged 8 - 18 are welcome at either/both intensives.

Summer Intensive I

July 13 - July 17

Summer intensive II

August 10 - August 14

SMB’s Summer Intensives are designed to provide elevated instruction, allowing dancers time to refine their technique, develop artistry, and build strength in a professional and supportive environment.

Dancers will benefit from reinforcement of training, increased personal coaching, and a more immersive experience.

Faculty will include current School of Madison Ballet teachers, professional Madison Ballet dancers, and guest faculty, as well as Madison Ballet artistic staff.

For dancers experiencing their first intensive or with only 1 to 2 years of ballet experience.

SMB Summer Intensive maintains a no refund policy. Once the program has begun, tuition is non-refundable and if unused will be received as a donation.

Daily classes help students master technical skills, developing consistency, musicality, articulation, and natural expression within the technical parameters of the art form. In addition to ballet, our intensives offer multiple disciplines to compliment students’ training as well as courses in repertoire and choreography.
