Apprentice - Doria Worden began her training in North Carolina with Betsy Walker at Burlington Dance Center and continued at the Raleigh School of Ballet under the direction of Mary LeGere.
After a year, Ms. Worden joined the school's pre-professional performing company, Raleigh Dance Theater, where she enjoyed learning new works and performing in children's outreach events. She also performed with Carolina Ballet in Robert Weiss' production of The Nutcracker during her time in Raleigh.
Ms. Worden joined Richmond Ballet as a trainee after graduating in 2015. While at Richmond Ballet, she had the opportunity to perform in company works such as Bill Soleau’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Malcolm Burn’s Romeo and Juliet, and artistic director Stoner Winslett’s Windows and The Nutcracker. She also had the chance to perform George Balanchine's Diverimento No. 15 and the Phlegmatic section of The Four Temperaments, her favorite ballet. Ms. Worden attended summer intensives at North Carolina School of the Arts and Richmond Ballet. This is Ms. Worden's first season with Madison Ballet.
