Youth Drop-In Classes

Ages 7-16
Class duration varies.

Busy summer schedule? No problem! The Summer Student Drop-In Division is a pilot program for school-age students 7 and up allowing flexibility in scheduling while maintaining the level of excellence that is the hallmark of the School of Madison Ballet.

Conditioning Class

Ages 10 +

Classes that are inspired by the routines professional dancers do outside of the studio to stay in shape. This class is a fusion of yoga, pilates, and weight-training.

Bravo Boys!

Ages 4 -8
One 60 min class/week.

Bravo Boys! classes are taught at an introductory level focused on body alignment, posture, and isometric muscle development, while fostering a love for dance and creative expression. Ballet isn’t just for girls!

Me & My Parent

Ages 18 months - 3 years
One 30 min class/week.

Toddlers and a parent or caretaker dance together while focusing on rhythm, movement, music, and fun! 

Creative Movement

Ages 3 & 4
One 45 min class/week.

Creative Movement teaches rhythm and coordination through a variety of engaging movement exercises.


Ages 5 & 6
One 60 min class/week.

Pre-Ballet classes teach body alignment, posture, and isometric muscle development, while fostering a love for dance and creative expression.

Levels 1 - 5

Levels 1-5 begin formal ballet training with an emphasis on barre work and progressively builds on the study of technique, with specific areas of concentration at each step.

Boys/Mens Class

The only class of its kind in Madison. This ballet class specifically for young men is offered to develop male dance skills and help build self-esteem. 

Pre-Professional Division

The Pre-Professional Division offers a rigorous training program for students who aspire to be professional dancers.

Ballet 101 workshops... FREE

If you've always wanted to take a ballet class, but were afraid to try, Ballet 101 is for you!

Adult Beginning Ballet

Students continue to develop their knowledge of the terminology of classical ballet.

Adult Intermediate Ballet

Dancers with a medium to advanced understanding of vocabulary continue to study ballet technique. 

Adult Advanced Ballet

Dancers with a high comprehension of ballet technique and vocabulary continue to study ballet technique.

Jazz/ Contemporary

This intermediate to advanced level class is based on the exploration of technique, style and presentation.
