J. Corkey Custer has been working with Custer Plumb Financial Services, and associated with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., for 25 years. He advises more than $253,000,000 in investments for clients and has expertise in the area of Socially Responsible Investing and alternative investment solutions. In addition to having his own financial planning practice, Corkey was Senior Investment Specialist for Lincoln Financial Advisors’ Wisconsin office where he trained and advised other financial planning representatives on advanced portfolio design. He has earned the Certified Funds Specialist and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor certifications.
He is active in the community as well, serving on the Dane County Democratic Party Executive Committee, and is involved in local and state politics. He volunteers with Big Brother Big Sisters as a “Big” to a Little Brother. In 2010, he was honored, along with his wife, Betty Harris Custer, by Wisconsin's Governor as that year's Supporters of the Arts.
