Pablo Sanchez / by William Smith

Pablo Sánchez is a guest company member during the 2016-17 season. Mr. Sánchez was born in Puebla, México, and began his formal ballet training with Amy Rose in Libertyville, Illinois. Pablo graduated from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University with a B.S. in Ballet Performance and an Outside Field in Communications and Culture. Pablo's professional career began at the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago as a trainee and subsequently with Atlanta Ballet in Georgia. There, he debuted in Wayne McGregor’s Eden/Eden and danced works by James Kudelka, Christopher Wheeldon, Ohad Naharin, Jean-Christophe Maillot, Stephen Mills, Bruce Wells and Artistic Director John McFall.

Pablo has been dancing freelance since 2014, guesting with Rochester City Ballet, directed by Jamey Leverett then David Palmer, Ballet Spartanburg, directed by Carlos Agudelo, Bobby Wesner's Neos Dance Theatre and most recently at Menlowe Ballet, directed by Michael Lowe. Pablo wishes to thank his wonderful family for their love and support.
