Michaela King began her dance training in North Carolina where she was born. She continued ballet with coaching and private instruction in Virginia throughout her high school years and upon graduating, studied in the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Grad Program. After two years, Ms. King joined the company.
Michaela has attended summer intensives with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, Chautauqua Institution, The Rock School, Carolina Ballet, and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell. As a high school student, she had the opportunity to perform Serenade with Suzanne Farrell’s company at the Kennedy Center. King spent two seasons in the corps de ballet with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and her repertoire includes La Bayadere, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Cinderella, Le Corsaire, Jerome Robbin’s The Concert, and Mark Morris’s Sandpaper.” Michaela is thrilled to be a part of Madison Ballet and is excited for her first season.
