Classes
The curriculum of the School of Madison Ballet is performance-based and emphasizes a strong classical technique and a flow of movement that expresses a sense of energy, freedom, and joy.
The technique taught readily adapts to a variety of repertoire in different styles by choreographers - past and present. The SMB faculty features experienced teachers with professional backgrounds in the performing arts, education and youth development.
Students whose paths lead to non-dance careers gain immeasurably from SMB courses. The focus on motivation, discipline, poise, grace, physical athleticism, and an appreciation for the arts yields character development that will last throughout their lives.
