Artistic Vision
In support of the mission statement, the artistic vision of Madison Ballet outlines the framework of the educational programs and productions of Madison Ballet.
Madison Ballet’s artistic vision focuses on three areas: education, performing opportunities, and teaching and choreographing opportunities.
Education
The educational component of Madison Ballet’s artistic vision focuses on access for audiences and dancers to quality education by:
- Providing quality education by sustaining a professional ballet school with classes for all ages and ability levels;
- Offering programs that are available to students from the School of Madison Ballet and other area dance schools;
- Forming alliances with youth-oriented organizations offering affordable access to educational programming; and,
- Offering affordable and accessible educational programs for dancers and audiences.
Performing Opportunities
Madison Ballet provides performing opportunities for dancers and professionals by:
- Producing quality productions for performers and audiences;
- Maintaining a company; and,
- Contracting nationally acclaimed guest artists for productions.
Teaching/Choreographing Opportunities
Madison Ballet provides teaching and choreographing opportunities by:
- Engaging national and local choreographers;
- Providing teaching opportunities;
- Developing workshops and master classes; and,
- Forming alliances with other organizations and venues, offering affordable access to materclasses and workshops.
